Today was Curtis' first field trip - Brian escorted the class, as did every other parent in the class! Well, out of 10 kids, all 10 parents signed up to go - when they all showed up, the teacher said they didn't all have to go! Two other parents volunteered to 'not go'. I'm glad Brian chose to still go - it means so much to the kids when the parents are involved!
Brian said Curtis wore the costume the entire day - even though the boots are way too small! He fit right in at the station! This was the same fire station we went to with Colin two years ago - they have changed a few things - they actually let them slide down the pole and then they got all dressed up in their gear and crawled up to the kids - like they were pretending they were in their house in a fire. They had to yell to the fireman and knock on their mask...Curtis did great! He did not want to leave the fire station! Brian said he was the last one out the door!!!
