Fall is here!
Well, it's finally October and our fall is in full swing! We are busy busy busy! Field trips, small groups, school, flu, carving pumpkins, baking cookies....yup, we're one busy family! We took Cameron to get his 1 year pictures taken today at JCPennys...he has a touch of the flu, but wanted to get the pictures taken - if we waited any longer, they wouldn't be one year pictures!! If you want to see them, e-mail me and I"ll send you the link and password! All 3 boys got the flu shot (well, actually Colin and Curtis just got the nasal mist)...Cameron got the shot. We went to Red Robin to celebrate how well everyone did. Colin and Curtis also had dentist appointments today --- oh, by the way...we were able to schedule all of these appointments because there was no school yesterday or today because of a statewide teacher inservice. Our school works the two days at the beginning of the year, so when October comes, we get a much needed break! Anyway....back to the dentist. Neither boy had any cavities, however, the hygenist told us that Colin officially has two loose teeth! He wants to loose a tooth so bad - there are quite a few kids in our class who have already lost teeth...he's going to loose one soon! Any one know what the going rate for the tooth fairy is these days?!?!? 
Brian is at a conference for men called "Men at the Cross" - he's there this evening and then goes back again for the morning tomorrow. The boys and I made pumpkin shaped sugar cookies - they helped decorate and eat them!!! Tomorrow, we're going to carve pumpkins and cook the seeds! Yummy! I sure do love fall!!! 
Okay, well, I"m going to watch a chick-flick since Brian is gone! Enjoy the pictures!!!

Wow! Carving pumpkins already? Will they last til the end of the month??
Ellie had two permanent teeth coming in but without the baby teeth getting loose much. The dentist had to pull all four front teeth on the bottom. She was content with four quarters. Not really understanding the value of money--four of anything seemed fine. As they get older, a dollar a tooth seems to be the going rate. But we also put a little gift under the pillow as well, or in Ellie's case, a big one! She didn't feel a thing during the extraction, but the recovery was sort of distressing to her.

Thanks for the tooth fairy suggestion! I have a feeling it's going to be a while before they fall out, but they are loose!
