We have decorated for Christmas - but will be decorating the tree today. The boys are very excited to get into the ornament box. Mommy is not! It's going to be a crazy mess. Oh well. It only happens one day a year!
Christmas is 19 days away - are you ready? Our boys are in such anticipation of what is coming. They know Santa is part of the mix, but Colin has been learning at preschool that we don't need any extras for Christmas, just baby Jesus. It is so sweet to see Christmas through the eyes of a child. We are also dealing with combining the Christian aspect of Christmas with the secular aspect. How much Santa do we allow? As you saw on a previous blog, we went and got pictures with him at the mall. The boys know who he is, but as of right now, all Santa brings in our house is the stocking gifts....mommy and daddy worked hard for the money to buy the other gifts - we want our boys to know that.
We are off to our church Holiday Bazaar today - we never buy anything, but it's fun to look.
We still do not have snow. Brian and the boys are quite disappointed. The boys have new skis this year, well Colin does. Curtis has the hand-me-down skis from last year. (No, we aren't made of money! We have found all the boys ski equipment cheap on craigslist). We're not sure when snow will arrive - hopefully soon. We plan on making it a family outing to Bogus Basin - Cameron will have to stay with a sitter!
Well, I guess that's it for now. We hope you all are preparing for a wonderful holiday season! We'd love to hear from you!
