What a cute couple!

Spring break has come and gone. Brian and I had a wonderful time in sunny California. We sat by the pool and even got a little sunburned! We wore shorts, capris(well, Maureen did!), and flip-flops. The conference was so great! We didn't learn a whole lot of new information, but were able to 'mentor' quite a few couples who were new to youth ministry and felt very in over their heads. It was so great to be able to help them get things started in their ministry and to be able to show them that a good youth ministry takes time! (It has taken us 7 years to get where we are today!) The Lord has really blessed us! We are so happy to be where we are serving such a mighty God!

Patsy and Michael, Maureen's mom and brother came to watch the boys while we were in California. They did a great job! The boys barely missed us - Cameron really noticed mommy and daddy weren't home (his normal routine was upset a little)...grammy doesn't do things the way mommy and daddy do...everyone survived. However, I think grammy and uncle Mike needed a vacation after the week! We appreciated their willingness to take time off of their jobs for us. They gave the boys such wonderful care - reading tons of stories, baking cookies, going to the library, McDonalds, Cabellas, reading more stories!!

Colin and Curtis got to go on a playdate with my friends, Rachel and Dana and their children. They are my best friends from church - they have small children my kids' ages and are both part-time teachers in the Meridian district. When Rachel was taking my boys home, Colin told Rachel that he had fun on the playdate, but not as much fun as he was going to have with grammy and grampy and uncle mike! How sweet! Colin also told grammy on Sunday morning that he was not ready for her to go home.

We are back to our normal routine - this week is pretty normal. It's Colin's week to bring snack at pre-school....he's pretty proud of it! Maureen has a short week - parent/teacher conferences are on Friday. Here's a picture of us at the beach...we'll post some of the boys with grammy soon!
